このところ，Youtubeのドキュメンタリを寝ながら聞いていたので，英語発音には耳慣れしてきたのだが，相変わらず英語の発話思考ができない(ぱっと言葉が出ない)。相手を前に発話していないのだから当然なのだが，思えば一人でプログラミングしていてもその言語の文法は身についていた。なぜか。
例文を改造する
p.42,"Grammar in use intermediate"に以下の例文がある。
Are you going to watch TV this evening?
平叙文に直す。
You are going to watch TV this evening.
過去文に直す。
You watched TV yesterday.
過去進行形に直す。
You ware watching TV yesterday.
という形で，文を部分的に，「時制」「Subjectの変更」「単数，複数」などと変換していく訓練を毎日やれば，「一を聞いて十を知る」的にoutputできるのではないか。
プログラマがなぜ，参考書を読んでプログラミングできるようになるのか。それは，サンプルをもとに部分的に修正，改造を加えていって「最終的に自分のモノにする」という過程を経るからだ。英語でも同様の発想を取り入れてよいのではないか。
書籍で同様の発想をテーマにしているものもある。
さすがに「見るだけで」というわけにはいかないだろうが，最低限の文法をパターン化して，一つの例文を「改造していく」という考えは，プログラミング学習に通じるものがある。ちなみに「見るだけで」というコンセプトがある程度大事なのは理解している。書き取りをすると，書き取りに集中してしまう。それだと「英語で即答する」訓練にならないからだ。
そうはいっても「プログラミング言語にはコンパイラがあるけど，英語にはコンパイラないじゃん」という人は，Google翻訳やGrammarlyを忘れている。無料でも簡単な構文は確認可能。
こういう練習はやたら難しい例文を使わず，今の自分でも分かる例文から始めるのがコツ。片言の発話でも，何も言わないのとは全く違うので，地道に練習したいところ。
